Purpose of Our Content
Ohio Cost Estimating publishes construction cost guides, estimating articles and service information to help Ohio contractors, developers, owners and homeowners make better decisions. This policy explains how that content is created, reviewed and maintained.
Who Creates Our Content
Content is written or reviewed by members of our estimating team with construction and estimating experience. Author and reviewer information is shown where applicable, and estimator backgrounds are described on Meet Our Estimators.
Accuracy and Sources
We base content on our estimating experience, current pricing data, building codes, government sources and reputable industry publications. Factual claims about codes, laws, wage rates or programs are checked against primary sources where possible, and sources are cited or linked when they support a specific claim.
Cost Figures
Cost information in articles is general guidance for education. Actual costs vary with design, location, timing and market conditions. For a project-specific number, request an estimate. See our disclaimer and methodology.
Use of Software Tools
We may use software tools, including writing and research assistants, to help draft or organize content. Every published piece is reviewed and edited by our team for accuracy, relevance and clarity before publication, and our team is responsible for its content.
Independence
We are an independent estimating firm. We do not accept payment for product mentions or recommendations in our content. If that ever changes, any sponsored content will be clearly labeled.
Updates and Corrections
